Water/Sewer Operator

Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Operate and participate in the maintenance of Authority water wells, stations, tanks, mains, laterals and services, structures and vehicles.
  • Field operations; troubleshoot problems within the water & sanitary sewer systems.
  • Maintain Authority property
  • Understanding of SCADA system operations a plus.
  • Available to work after hours, weekends or holidays, if necessary.

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Working knowledge of construction, maintenance and repair of water and sanitary sewer systems, including interior plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in the operation of equipment used in the water and sewer industry.
  • Must be able to supervise a diverse workforce.
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of a SCADA System.

Experience / Education:

  • Hands-on experience in water & Sanitary sewer operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Schedule: 8 hour shift / 5 days with overtime as needed

Application Question(s):

Camera Truck Operator

Experience working, operating, and maintaining CCTV camera vans. Locating will also be required by the operator.

Having experience with GraniteNet software is a plus. Candidate should have a positive work attitude and be able to manage a small crew. Candidate must be able to draw detailed sketches of projects and comprehend sewer maps.

Job is a full time. Having a current PACP/MACP/LACP licensure is a plus. If candidate has no experience in operating a camera truck but has worked on pipelining or pipeline CCTV, we still encourage them to apply. Must be able to learn and apply procedures that will be presented to them in training.

Experience / Education:

  • Hands-on experience in water & Sanitary sewer operations, supervisory experience a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of a CCTV System.

Expected Hours: 40-50 per week

Schedule: 8 hour shift / 5 days/week / on-site, no remote work available

Experience: Sewer Inspection: 1 year (Required)

Summer Landscaping and Maintenance Help Wanted

3-5 days per week with potential for full-time year round employment
